Homefire is a brand of smokeless fuel and is used for open fires and multi fuel stoves. It is easy to light, produces a high heat output, is slow burning and easy to control. Homefire requires less refuelling than a coal fire and is cleaner too, leaving less residual unburned fuel. The fire it produces is attractive with a good flame picture and is environmentally friendly. Homefire is authorised for use in smoke control areas.
Put two firelighters and some kindling wood in your grate or in the bottom of your multi fuel stove and put a layer of Homefire fuel on top.
Next use a safety match to light the firelighters and adjust the fire or appliance to create a good draft.
Add more fuel as needed and reduce the draft once the fire is going strong.
